Pink please!

I'm back in the motherland and things have been a bit weird and crazy recently settling back in, hence I've been a bit awol. Slowly but surely I'm sliding back into a normal life. I'm missing my life in Lyon and to be honest adjusting back to life back in the UK has me feeling a bit blue, so despite my dwindling bank balance, I couldn't help a little spending spree on a recent trip to Manchester to visit my boyfriend, especially when &OtherStories just opened its' brand new doors, it would've been rude not to, right?

Being a self confessed tomboy all my life, this new obsession with all things pink has me feeling a little out of my monochrome comfort zone. However, I'm embracing this new found love in a big way and summer is the perfect season for it!

Up here in North East England we don't get much of a summer mind, but with recent events (don't get me started on the EU referendum and what a shambles this country is), I've needed a bit of a pick-me-up. An injection of colour is just what I needed.

I've upgraded my phone (finally, I know right?!) to the Iphone SE in rose gold, I bought a gorgeous sale bargain pink fine knit, mock neck dress from COS, invested in the new Adidas Stan Smith originals in pink and the few other bits laid out above. I've been dressing for the weather I want thats for sure.

Subtle colours are perfect for colourphobes such as myself. Although I may not be ready to totally ditch my favourite, allbeit very old black trousers from ZARA and new addition crisp white smock shirt from COS (so in love), these subtle pinks are definitely brightening my mood and I'm a convert for sure! As I'm sure you all are, I'm still holding out for weather improvements. I have faith and I shall no doubt be donning all my new gear soon. Oh my, I feel like such a lady...
